  • Do I have to be vaccinated to attend the weekend?

No. Screening, reviewing proof of vaccination, and test result documents are no longer required by Wasingington, DC. HLW will continue to follow the latest CDC guidelines, local DC regulations, and/or Hilton Hotel guidelines. Be aware that requirements may change quickly  – if COVID-19 transmission rates increase. 

We strongly encourage all participants at The Haitian Ladies Weekend, whether a presenter, attendee, exhibitor, staff, guest, or vendor be fully vaccinated and/or get tested prior to traveling for the weekend. Masks are strongly encouraged to be worn at all times, except while actively eating/drinking. 

We ask that you stay home if you are feeling unwell and display any symptoms of COVID19 and/or other illnesses including but not limited to coughing, body aches, and fevers.

*Please note that by registering for HLW in-person event you acknowledge and understand that you are knowingly and freely assume all risks related to illness and infectious diseases, including, but not limited to, COVID-19.

  • I’m not a Haitian woman. Can I still attend?

No. Our mission is to create a unique space for women and girls of Haitian descent to connect, build community, share inspiration and celebrate cultural guides during our signature Haitian Ladies Weekend. We welcome you to follow us on our social media and join the newsletter for updates on how to support our efforts and Haiti.

  • Do I have to be a member to attend?

Haitian Ladies Network, at this time, does not have a membership process. We welcome and encourage any female of Haitian descent to attend the weekend.

  • How can I be a part of the Haitian Ladies Weekend?

If you are interested in becoming a speaker or panelist, please email conference@haitianladies.org. The Haitian Ladies Network® committee members welcome volunteers to help us on the day of. For information on how to volunteer, please email events@haitianladies.org

  • How do I become a vendor?

If you think your company would be a great fit, please email: vendors@haitianladies.org 

  • Can I get a media pass/press pass for the Haitian Ladies Wekend?

Yes you can! We welcome press and commercial news outlets. Please email communications@haitianladies.org to be considered.

  • How do I become a sponsor?

Haitian Ladies Weekend hosts a beautiful community of professional Haitian women who are ready to connect with and learn about awesome brands, services, and organizations. If you think your company would be a great fit, please email: partnerships@haitianladies.org

  • I’m no longer able to attend the conference. Can I sell my ticket or get a refund?

Haitian Ladies Weekend tickets are non-refundable. Once a ticket is purchased, it is the responsibility of the original purchaser to sell the ticket and transfer any information to the Haitian Ladies Network®.

  • Are children permitted?

You know that we Haitian women love our children, and we welcome mothers! We want Haitian Ladies Weekend to be a multigenerational experience. 

The Haitian Ladies Symposium is an active day of workshops and networking that is best geared to children who are high school age and older.

The Haitian Ladies Brunch is purely a social affair that can better accommodate elementary school-age children. With this guidance, we ask that you use your discretion and judgment in bringing your children to take part in the activities during Haitian Ladies Weekend.

  • Is there a dress code?

For the symposium, business wear is perfect.

For the Sunday brunch, we encourage you to be festive and express your unique fashionista style.

  • Do I have to live in DC to attend?

No. Although we began as a vehicle to gather Haitian ladies in the Washington, DC metro area, in recent years Haitian ladies from out of state and out of the country have attended.
