Monique André
President of the Normalization Committee, Haitian Football Federation
2026 Saturday Keynote Speaker
Long before she led reform at the highest level of Haitian football, Madame André was breaking ground on the field, playing in Haiti's first ever women's football match, and later becoming the first woman elected to the FHF Executive Committee. Today, as President of the Normalization Committee of the Haitian Football Federation, she has helped lead Haiti back to the world stage, including the senior men's national team's return to the FIFA World Cup after more than 50 years.
Carla Beauvais

2026 Brunch Keynote Speaker
Carla Beauvais is a Montreal-based social entrepreneur and city councillor with over 25 years of advocacy for marginalized voices, especially Black and Haitian talent. Since 2016, she has led Fondation Dynastie, championing Black excellence in media, arts, and culture. Her deep love for Haiti runs through her work: she was a cofounder of Dîner en Blanc in Haiti (2013–2018) and of Burger Week (2024–present). She also founded Konsome Lokal to celebrate and promote the power of Made in Haiti.
In 2025, she authored Ayiti : histoires de chefs, celebrating the country's culture and gastronomy. Her contributions have earned her the King Charles III Coronation Medal, the National Assembly of Québec Medal, and the Parliament of Canada Medal, among other honors. Since November 2025, Carla has served as City Councillor for Sault-au-Récollet in Ahuntsic-Cartierville. A devoted mother, she instills in her daughter the same courage, determination, and love of Haiti that guide her own life.

A Washington, D.C. native with Haitian roots who now calls Brooklyn home, Tara began her journey into the arts at age 3 in Lomé, Togo. With a B.A. from UPenn, she followed her passion to New York City, building a career that spans commercials, workouts on Netflix and Nike Training Club, and episodes of FBI and Hunting Party.
An unexpected life event set her on a lasting wellness journey, one that now shapes her work as a Global Nike Trainer, Reiki Master, and Meditation Instructor. In Brooklyn, she hosts and supports wellness events for women and communities of color, including her marquee gathering, Tea Time with T.

After 52 years, Haiti returned to the World Cup, and we felt that joy everywhere we call home.At the heart of that journey stood a captain who carried it for more than a decade. Johny Placide is a former goalkeeper and longtime captain of Haiti's national team, Les Grenadiers.
